Your photos & your choices

This notice from Cosmetic Consultation explains the current photo workflow and how to ask our team for deletion.

Last updated: 3 November 2026

1. When you select a photo

Selecting a photo creates a preview in your browser. Checks for image size, portrait orientation and brightness run there too. Selecting a photo alone does not send it to the AI service or save it to your plan.

2. When you create a simulation

After you sign in and give consent, choosing “Create simulation” sends your photo and instructions based on your selected procedures and level of change through our server to the Lovable AI Gateway, using an OpenAI image-editing model. The generated image is returned to your browser.

AI processing is separate from saving: even if you do not save the result, your photo has already been sent for processing. This notice does not promise a particular retention period or training policy for the AI service. Contact us if you need those details before submitting a photo.

Images are AI simulations for discussion only, not guaranteed outcomes or predictions of surgery.

3. When you save to your plan

“Save to my plan” uploads the original photo and generated image to the app’s private photo storage. A saved record links them to your account with the selected procedures and level of change. Notes and favourites you add are saved with that record; your consent is recorded separately.

Saved photos are displayed using temporary access links rather than public image addresses. Treat those links, and any copies or printed summaries you share, as sensitive.

The app does not currently apply an automatic expiry or scheduled cleanup to saved photos. A failed save can leave an uploaded file behind even when it does not appear in your plan; use the deletion-request option below if this happens.

4. Removing photos & requesting deletion

In “My plan”, the delete control requests removal of the saved simulation and its generated image. It also requests removal of the original photo when no other saved simulation uses it. If another simulation still uses that original, it is kept for that simulation.

An item disappearing from your plan is not confirmation that every deletion succeeded. If you need confirmation, or deletion appears unsuccessful, contact the team.

For all photos, an account, a consent record, or an upload left behind by an unsuccessful save, send a deletion request through our contact form. Deleting an item in your plan is not a request to delete your entire account or data held by the AI service.

  1. Use the email address associated with your account.
  2. Start your message with “Deletion request” and say whether it concerns a specific simulation, all photos, or your account and associated data.
  3. Include a simulation title or approximate date if helpful. Do not attach photos or send your password.

A request is not an automatic deletion. We may need to confirm account ownership before acting. Ask us to confirm what has been removed and whether anything remains, including any provider-held data or backups; this notice does not promise immediate removal of every copy.

5. When you contact us

The contact form asks for your name, email address and message. Accepted submissions are saved so the team can review them, and the app attempts to send an email alert to the team’s designated inbox. The saved message remains available if the alert cannot be sent. Avoid including facial photos or unnecessary medical details in your message.
